Bath tub: features of bathing, preparation, as well as other nuances and tricks

The sauna vat is a large bowl made of metal. The inside of the container is lined with wood. The structure can be installed on a special pedestal or suspended on logs. The vat is intended for bathing and steaming. In most cases, the structure is installed outdoors, and you can take baths in the vat all year round.

Regular bathing in a vat helps improve immunity. This is not only an extremely pleasant, but also a useful procedure.

Let's get acquainted with the structure of the bath tub in more detail, and also look at the popular types of baths and procedures that can be practiced in the bowl.

What is a sauna vat?

A sauna in a vat is a relaxing procedure that consists of one or several people sitting in a font of warm, non-scalding water. According to those who have experienced the Transcarpathian bathhouse, the pleasure received is simply unreal. It is due to the fact that warm water gently envelops the entire body. And this causes complete relaxation. As they say now, “complete relaxation.”

Types of sauna vats

To make vats, one of the following materials is used:

  • cast iron;
  • stainless steel.

In some photographs you can see a wooden Transcarpathian bathhouse. However, such fonts are short-lived, and their maintenance is quite problematic. Therefore, we will not mention them at all in our article.

Heavy cast iron products are, of course, manufactured only in factory conditions. For this, the casting method is used. A cast iron bath tub is quite expensive, but is attractive for its durability and long service life. Its installation can only be done using a forklift. Such a vat must be installed in a shelter and painted.

Stainless steel sauna vats are prefabricated. They are assembled by connecting several parts together. Although they are quite expensive, they are valued for:

  1. Durability
  2. Heating speed
  3. Appearance

As for sizes, as a rule, the following standards are adhered to:

  • for 4 people, products 2 m in diameter and 0.73 m deep are considered sufficient;
  • for 6 people you will need vats with a diameter of 2.2 m and the same depth;
  • for 8 persons the diameter should be 2.5 m with a depth of 0.83 m.

What are the health benefits of steaming in a vat?

A traditional Transcarpathian bathhouse or, in other words, steaming in a vat provides muscle relaxation. At the same time, it nourishes both the skin and internal organs of a person with minerals. To complete the effect, they try to install these structures close to various water sources and reservoirs. Staying in heated water is alternated with swimming in a cool river or lake. In this way, the Transcarpathian bathhouse resembles a Russian one. Temperature changes tone and strengthen blood vessels and have a beneficial effect on the skin. In addition, the sauna vat allows you to:

  1. Fight excess weight.
  2. Stabilize the functioning of the excretory systems.
  3. Normalize the activity of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system.
  4. Clear pores and improve skin permeability.
  5. Boost immunity and remove toxins.
  6. Relax muscles and relieve rheumatic symptoms.
  7. Harden the body.

Reviews from those who have tried the Transcarpathian bathhouse show that a 10-day course allows you to forget about colds for a whole year.

Where and in what cases can it be used

The sauna vat is recommended:

  • To treat colds and activate the immune system;
  • To normalize the functioning of the circulatory system, especially after suffering from colds and injuries.
  • In terms of combating excess weight, to get your figure in order after the autumn-winter period of inactivity;
  • For rehabilitation after limb injuries, bone fractures and soft tissue injuries;
  • To improve psychological state, correct mood and relieve stress;
  • As a cardiovascular workout;
  • To restore the respiratory system;
  • In the end, this is an excellent hygiene procedure for keeping the body in great shape.

But as for the time of use, here it is recommended to carry out treatment procedures in the morning or evening, for pleasure, there are no restrictions, the main thing is that it is safe.

Popular manufacturers

is one of the best in this area. The main indicator of quality is the presence of four patents and certification. The manufacturer has received the right to produce containers of a certain shape, so you can safely consider the products if you want to take bath procedures on your territory. High quality steel is used for manufacturing, which resists mechanical damage and corrosion.

Cedar wood with high moisture resistance, strength and long service life is used for components.

Wood also has a positive effect on the body and cleans the air of bacteria, which is no less important. Siberian bath vats are presented in different configurations

Sergeev Chan produces and sells products, delivering them to any region. The advantage of sauna vats is that they are made of food-grade stainless steel, the finishing is made of pine and larch. About fifty configurations are offered to buyers.

Transcarpathian cast iron vats can be ordered from, which produces containers of the highest quality in compliance with all requirements. It is worth noting that you can even choose any finishing color. A specialist consultation is provided in advance; there is also a detailed description of the products, their characteristics and parameters.

The Japanese heated sauna vat is called Furako. offers baths of this type. The range includes containers with a composite insert and a built-in or external oven. The main wood material is Altai cedar, which has beneficial properties and retains them for a long time. Such a bath can be installed in your own bathhouse or outdoors in the open air.

For whom is it useful, and who should abstain?

Everyone can splash in warm water; there are no restrictions here. As for restrictions, the list here is approximately the same as for a regular bath or sauna. The sauna vat is contraindicated:

  • People who have had a myocardial infarction;
  • Anyone with cancer;
  • Pregnant;
  • Anyone with skin diseases with ulcerative lesions;
  • People with tuberculosis;
  • Those who have angina pectoris and arrhythmia.

Material selection

The inner surface and stones at the bottom are not coated with paints and varnishes.

The material used to make the barrel affects its service life. Metal tanks are used so that the walls can withstand heating to high temperatures outside, while reducing the temperature inside with water. Heated baths are traditionally made of stainless steel and cast iron.

The inner surface is not covered with paints and varnishes, since the layer gradually separates into particles and falls off. After use, water is removed using a hose, and the walls inside are cleaned with a brush with metal teeth. The next time you add water, pieces of peeling paint may appear on the surface. The arrangement of stones at the bottom is also not painted; they are regularly removed, cleaned and rinsed.

Cast iron vat for bath

Cast iron vat for bath

Cast iron is convenient and unpretentious to use in the summer heat and winter. The alloy is resistant to external influences, almost does not corrode, and conducts heat well. It does not deteriorate from direct flame, so it can be used for a long time (up to 15 years) without losing strength.

Bathing containers are produced by the casting method, when the alloy is poured into a mold. The cooled metal has a smooth surface without seams, which avoids deformation when heated. Disadvantages include long heating times and fragility. A crane is required for installation, as the cast iron tank is heavy.

Stainless steel bath tub

Stainless steel bath tub

It is in demand among owners of bathhouse complexes due to its rapid heating and maintaining a constant temperature, which saves fuel. The vat is made from several parts that are welded together. There are tanks made of black steel, but stainless steel is not destroyed by corrosion, so it is more practical. It is easy to care for the inner surface.

Assembly from stainless metal is trusted to experienced welders. If you have no experience, it is better to use ordinary steel, the connection of which can be handled by a novice specialist. The installation can be done on your own, since a stainless steel vat weighs little.

Installation of the vat

Before installing the vat on the site, you should carefully level the area and fill it with an even layer of gravel

Before installation, the area is leveled and a compacted gravel backfill is made. It is better to place the font under a canopy to protect it from bad weather and prying eyes. Under the bottom, a foundation is made of concrete and a stand in the shape of a cross-shaped structure made of metal. The tank should not tip over when water is added and a person is standing there. They provide a convenient approach to the vat and a ladder for climbing.

Before interior work, check the tightness and resistance to heat. Water is poured into the vat with a hose and removed through a welded elbow at the bottom. A tank filled with water with metal ballast at the bottom and a wooden grate (no more than 180 kg) is left for half a day to detect leaks. If they are not there, make a fire.

Correct installation of the sauna tank

To install an all-welded structure, you will need to level and fill with gravel a flat area measuring 2.5x3 m. The best option for installing a bathhouse would be a place under a canopy, protected from the wind and water flowing from the roof of the bathhouse.

The design turned out to be quite bulky and heavy, so the metal frame holding the bowl may not be stable enough. Therefore, under the surface of the site, a metal cross-shaped structure, 1x1 m in size, welded from a channel, is usually buried. Anchors or threaded rods are welded to the beams, after which everything is covered with gravel or concrete. With this method of fastening, the sauna vat will not tip over, even if several people try to climb inside at the same time.

Of course, for ease of handling the sauna vat, you will need a small ladder with a service platform. You can also make it yourself or buy it ready-made.

Do-it-yourself sauna vat: drawings

Before making a sauna vat with your own hands, think through the place of its installation. Assess connection to communications and neighboring buildings

The service life is taken into account. If it is less than 2 years, then the project is not economically profitable

If you want to place a container inside the bathhouse, calculate the bearing capacity of the foundation and the need to install additional supports. Do not light an open fire indoors, as carbon monoxide will lead to poisoning. They think over the design of the stove for the vat and the method of removing smoke. Take into account the method of filling the container and drainage of liquid spilling over the edges.

After preparing the site, a drawing is developed. An example can be seen above. Since it is impossible to make a hemisphere with a diameter of 2 meters on your own, the container is assembled from separate parts. Each of them is an equilateral trapezoid.

To give it a smooth shape, it is bent at two points, as can be seen in the example of the second drawing. To correctly calculate the components, make a scale model from cardboard.

The parts are glued together with tape or other material, as can be seen in the photo above.

After measurements, the theory is tested in practice by making a metal vat to scale according to the drawings, as shown in the photo. This is necessary to determine the number of consumables and the strength of the seam.

Parts are cut out of sheet metal according to actual dimensions and bent with a given radius to achieve a diameter of 2 meters or more. The walls are not welded with a single seam; they are secured with tacks in order to make adjustments if necessary.

If everything is in order, then the joints are completely boiled, making sure that there is no distortion due to thermal expansion. To strengthen the sheet metal, stiffeners are fixed in two levels, as seen in the photo above. They compensate for water pressure and reduce stress on the seams.

If the vat will stand separately, then a frame will be built under it. Use a square with a cross section of 60 mm. Provides the ability to drain water from the container. To do this, a piece of pipe with a diameter of ¾ inches is welded to the bottom, a thread is cut at the end and a tap is screwed on. Next, a hole is drilled, connecting the bath tub to the pipe.

The inside of the container is decorated with a bench, a wooden bottom is made or it is laid out from river stone so that the feet do not touch the surface that is subject to heating. For convenience, wooden railings are fixed along the contour.

For the convenience of collecting ash, if there is no stove under the bath tub, install a box similar to the one in the photo above. A grill is placed at the bottom, and a hole is drilled on the sides for air circulation. Install it on guides that will prevent it from moving from the given path.

For ease of climbing into the bath tub, a ladder made of larch or terrace boards is installed. A lid is cut out of plexiglass, which reduces evaporation and promotes rapid heating of water.

Cast iron vat for bath

Cast iron is a high-carbon metal that is heavy. It is impossible to make a bath tub from it at home, so they are assembled in production by pouring into molds. Advantages of the material:

  • heat capacity;
  • wall thickness;
  • life time.

Thanks to the thick walls, the water takes longer to heat up, but also maintains its temperature for a long time, which is important at sub-zero temperatures. There are also disadvantages:

  • weight;
  • price.

The weight of a vat for four people reaches 1.2 tons. Installation requires a forklift to transport it to the site. It is impossible to remove the container for storage, so a cover is built to protect the product from rusting

When choosing, pay attention to the quality of workmanship. Edges should be sanded, no flash

Porosity and wall thickness uniformity throughout the vat are analyzed. They take into account the warranty that the manufacturer is willing to provide. If the container is painted, then the composition must be fire-resistant, since the surface will be exposed to open fire.

Information! Cast iron is a fragile metal, so when using the vat, avoid strong impacts and sudden temperature changes.

Preparation

Anyone can make a sauna vat with their own hands, although it is not as simple as it might seem at first glance. First of all, it’s worth calculating everything well to avoid semi-handicraft production.

It is also important to choose the appropriate place to install the font and determine the shape and size of its structure. The choice of material for the vat body, which must be covered with a protective layer, also plays a huge role.

At the preparatory stage, they also think through a water drainage scheme, plumbing and interior arrangement with footrests and seats.

Tools and materials

Before you start making a sauna vat at home, you need to worry about the availability of appropriate equipment, in particular, this applies to electric welding. In addition, you will need a grinder with a cutting wheel for metal and a jigsaw, which can be used to cut curved parts. As for the choice of material for the body, it is difficult to do. Thus, a cast iron vat takes several times longer to heat up than a steel one, but has a comfortable rounded shape without corners and a smooth surface.

In order for the bath tub to reliably serve for a long time, experts recommend choosing stainless steel in the form of sheet steel for its body. This material is durable and resistant to temperature changes. The only thing is that only a professional welder can assemble a stainless steel vat. If you have no experience in such work, then it is better to choose ordinary steel, which even a novice master can weld.

Drawings and dimensions

After everything has been decided with the material of manufacture and the installation location of the bath vat, the next point in the preparatory stage of construction work is the creation of drawings, according to which the vat will be made in the future. First you need to sketch out sketches and choose a more suitable shape for the future design. Most often, huge containers in the form of hexagons or octahedrons are made from metal sheets, that is, the font is not round.

As for the sizes, it is advisable to choose larger ones, since miniature structures will be inconvenient to use. Experts recommend choosing standard sizes, in which the diameter is from 220 to 260 cm, the depth is from 60 to 80 cm. In addition, when choosing sizes, you should take into account the capacity of the font (how many people can swim in it).

The final stage of preparatory work is the creation of drawings, which should provide complete information about the size and shape of the future vat. Based on the drawn up drawings, the material consumption is calculated and its purchase is carried out.

Drawings, dimensions and manufacturing technology

The size of the sauna vat is selected within the range of 220-260 cm in diameter, with a depth of at least 60 cm, but not more than 90 cm.
Before manufacturing, you need to make a drawing of a wood-fired sauna vat.

The sketches show:

  • the design of the font with the dimensions of its components;
  • liquid supply and drainage circuit;
  • installation method with a design solution for the stand;
  • internal equipment of the font, seats, backrests, location of footrests.

Steel is often used to make hexagonal or octagonal tanks, which are not completely round. The standard diameter size is considered to be 2.2 - 2.6 m. The depth is chosen at the level of 0.6 - 0.9 m. These are the recommended dimensions, but each manufacturer chooses the dimensions taking into account material capabilities. The size of the company for which the vat is designed matters.

Wisdom Quote: You must find time to rest, because there is always work, but life tends to end.

Water and flame

An outdoor bathhouse is an attraction for friends or guests of the bathhouse complex. Ordinary people, from Japan to Finland, tried to keep the bathhouse warm. The traditional furaco and Finnish barrel are heated by a wood stove. Its efficiency is higher than that of a fire.

An outdoor swimming pool in a snow-covered courtyard looks impressive. Promises extreme sensations. The procedure itself invigorates by alternating cold air and immersion in hot water.

In Lumshory you must first go down into a heated cast-iron vat, then plunge into cold water. The famous Carpathian vats usually stand on a solid base of stones. The fire is lit below. Beech logs are used. The stones, like a stove, retain the heat of the wood.

Sometimes a group of people gather to steam in a vat. From the outside, the picture resembles cheerful sinners in a cauldron. The imagination pictures a cauldron on legs and a fire under it. This cast iron vat is on sale! On the manufacturers' websites they call it a rejuvenating vat. It is ordered as an addition to a sauna or Russian bath. A steel brazier is placed under the sauna vat, which stands on supports in the open air.

The secret of rejuvenation. If there is no source of mineral water nearby, aromatic salts and dry herbs are added to the rejuvenating vat. After treatments in herbal infusion, the skin looks fresh and youthful.

A cast iron vat suspended on supports on chains looks original. A fire is made under the cauldron. The hanging vat sways and it is difficult to install the stove for fire safety reasons. But the water over the fire warms up enough for 3-4 people to swim.

The water from the stove heats up faster. A cast iron vat of 1200 - 1500 liters for outdoor use heats up in 2-3 hours. It will take longer to heat the vat over a fire. Everything will depend on the wind and air temperature. A vat in a room closed from the wind warms up faster.

The cast iron vat is heated by a stove installed under the bottom. Another popular option is an outdoor oven. A heat exchanger is installed inside its metal body. Water flows into it through pipes or hoses. A stationary or hanging vat is heated by circulation. The movement of water in the heat exchanger begins when heated. Compared to a vat on a fire, it is more convenient to regulate the temperature in a stove.

Installation and operation of a sauna vat

Design features

Many bathhouse lovers often recall recent times, when, despite the amount of rolled metal produced by the Soviet industry per capita of the party, Komsomol and non-party population, different barrels and tanks were used as containers. Today, the sauna vat is a special culture of the bathhouse, in which the main role is played by a specially made steel container. The fact is that, unlike the recent past, a steel sheet with a wall thickness of 2 mm or more is used to make the container. In this case, the structure itself, consisting of individual petals, is welded using an external and internal seam, followed by its subsequent processing. The container is reinforced with internal and external frame elements, so there is no need to worry that a container with one and a half tons of water may tip over or creep along the welded seam.

Choosing an installation location

For installation, a place is selected that meets fire safety regulations. For many designs, a special trapezoid-shaped stand is used as a basis. It allows you to hold the bath tub itself and light a fire under it for heating. Such a stand is also necessary to place a drain pipe under the bottom of the container.

Installation is done on a flat and preferably solid area. Concrete, masonry or solid rock will definitely work. It will be difficult with a grass surface, the stand has a small support area, so you need to ensure a large plane of the supports, you will have to look for additional sheets of metal, or make a concrete platform. When installing, it is thought out in advance where the drain pipe will be directed and where the drain will be carried out. Filling is usually done using a hose connected to the water supply, but in principle, if there is good pressure in the water supply, there is no need to invent anything additional. Filling usually takes place within 25-30 minutes, and draining the water will take about the same amount of time. Therefore, if the vat is used by one company, then you can refresh the water every hour, the main thing is that there is enough firewood to maintain the desired temperature.

The process of using a sauna vat

You can start kindling the fire immediately after you start filling the container. The fire is lit directly under the vat, the main thing is that it contains at least 50 liters of water. To warm it up to a comfortable 35-41 degrees, 30-35 minutes is enough, but this is subject to constant burning of the fire. After the fire is lit and the vat begins to fill with water, a ladder is usually installed and brooms are steamed.

During the procedures, it is imperative to monitor the water temperature - the most comfortable temperature is 35-41 degrees. Above 41 degrees, it is not recommended to increase the temperature for beginners.

After washing is completed, the water is drained and the fire is extinguished. Draining water takes about the same time as filling it. After the water has drained, the vat must be rinsed with running water and, after drying, covered with a lid or shading tarpaulin. This is necessary so that the cedar sheathing dries naturally and does not crack under the influence of the sun and begin to release resin.

Some design features

Almost all bath tubs produced in Russia are painted with special heat-resistant paint, and this is done in several layers. Paint perfectly protects steel from precipitation, it is not afraid of high temperatures and ultraviolet radiation, but mechanical stress and chemically active detergents are contraindicated for it. Therefore, washing is done with warm water and a regular soap solution with a soft cloth or sponge.

How to use and steam in a vat?

Everything is simple here. Fill the vat with water and light a fire or the provided stove under it. The good thing about the stove is that it uses fire energy more efficiently: it is practically not spent on heating the surrounding air. It is recommended to light a fire after the vat bath is one third full. It is impossible to heat an iron container “dry”.

Immediately after lighting the fire, you need to throw fragrant medicinal herbs or ordinary bath brooms into the water. While the water is heating up, it will acquire an unforgettable and healthy aroma. You can also use special essential oils for baths. An excellent and useful option would be fresh fir or juniper branches.

Comfortable water temperature for a person is 40-45 degrees. To monitor it, you should get a thermometer. Another useful “vat gadget” would be a regular paddle. It is useful for stirring the water while heating. For better comfort, it should be stirred before getting into the water.

Firewood should be used only dry, preferably birch. If the fuel is damp, you will choke on smoke and there will be problems with kindling. Smoldering charcoals will be able to maintain the desired temperature for a long time. Although everything here is individual: if it’s minus 25 outside, you’ll have to keep the fire going constantly.

It is recommended to stay in the water at chest level for 10-20 minutes. The same recommendations are in the Japanese bathhouse “Ofuro”, which we have already told you about. Then you need to plunge into a cool pond and return. To achieve the best healing effects, the optimal time spent in the sauna vat is about an hour. Warm tea made from a variety of herbs, wild berries, raspberries, linden is an excellent addition to such procedures.

Bath tub: manufacturing process

Before starting welding work, you should calculate the geometry of the workpieces that will be part of the sauna vat. To do this, you can use such a clear and proven method as building a layout.

How to decide on the geometry of the blanks for the font

A model of a bath tub can be made from cardboard, proportionally reducing the dimensions, for example, by a factor of 4. The model is made in the following sequence:

  1. Cut out the octagonal bottom of the font.
  2. Cut out the side wall elements in the shape of squares. The length of the sides of the blanks should be 120% of the large base of the trapezoid shown in the drawing.
  3. Select the desired angle of inclination of the workpieces and trim them so as to turn them into trapezoidal ones.

Provided that the cutting is carried out correctly, the entire set of parts of the layout should converge into a single integral structure. After this, sketches of the cutting of the walls are drawn up and their dimensions are transferred to the drawing.

Cutting and assembly work

When transferring drawing dimensions to steel, it is necessary to leave allowances for making the cut. The cut itself is performed mainly with a grinder. A jigsaw can be used on curved areas.

Welding is best done on an assembly jig. It should be prepared before welding begins, using 30 mm square pipes. Welding begins by forming an octagon, the size and perimeter of which coincides with the edge of the bathhouse.

Having laid the finished polygon on level ground, the sidewall blanks are installed on it sequentially in pairs. The installed pairs of opposite walls are welded to a pre-prepared bottom. The result is a font, the bottom of which is on top.

How to test a sauna vat for strength

A bathtub made with your own hands must be thoroughly checked. To do this, fill it with water using a hose or any other water-filling system. After filling the container with water, keep it filled for a couple of hours. After this time has passed and provided that the integrity of the vat has not been compromised, a fire is lit under its bottom.

If the font has successfully passed this test, it must be emptied, dried and prepared for protective and decorative finishing.

Finishing a sauna boiler and upgrading it

If ordinary steel was used to make a bath tub, then its outer surface is treated by bluing or phosphating. The inner surface of the product must be polished and then covered with silicone film.

At the final stage, seats are installed inside the font, and its upper edge is covered with protective railings. For this, oak or linden is used. The seat shelf is made of lining, which is carefully polished and impregnated with silicone varnish.

Making a bathing bowl for a sauna: where to start

Bathing in vats attracts many people. Many people want to buy them. But the best option is to do it yourself. It will cost significantly less. If you decide to make your own, you should carefully consider the following starting points:

  • choose the appropriate material. Often preference is given to sheet structural or stainless steel 2-5 mm thick;
  • determine the size of the vat-sauna boiler and the method of its installation;
  • choose an effective protective coating for metal;
  • develop a diagram of seats and footrests.

These preliminary important points do not end there. So, in particular, you need a well-thought-out system for heating and draining water. However, in this regard, there is no point in reinventing the wheel. The best way is to borrow proven industrial circuits.

Bath tub made of steel

Bathing in a cast iron vat is, of course, great. But there is no question of making it yourself. There are quite a few obstacles to this. Therefore, when preparing to make your own, you should only consider a homemade steel bath vat.

The right choice of material for a bath tub: which one is better

In the case of stainless steel, which provides higher durability, you will have to use the services of a professional welder. With your own efforts, it is quite possible to weld only a boiler from completely ordinary steel.

Drawings, dimensions and manufacturing procedures

A homemade vat for a Transcarpathian bath should have dimensions that ensure sufficient ease of maintenance. Traditionally, they have the shape of truncated pyramids with 6 or 8 sides. In other words, the bowl is not round, but polygonal. Below is a drawing of one of these options.

As a rule, the diameter of a bath tub is selected within the range of 220-260 cm, and its depth is 60-80 cm. A multifaceted bath tub has the following advantages:

  1. It simplifies the edging and welding of individual elements that have straight rather than curved edges.
  2. It makes it easier to replace one of the structural elements if the need arises.
  3. Greater comfort is guaranteed for those sitting in the font, whose backs rest not on a rounded, but on a flat surface.

What kind of bathhouse with a vat is there on the street?

Suspended version
According to their design, they can be divided into 2 categories - suspended and built-in. The former are suspended using chains on special metal or wooden tripods. Most often, ordinary logs 6-7 meters long and 20-25 cm in diameter act as large supports.

Built-in structures are mounted on a special pedestal made of metal profiled pipe. One option is to close the pedestal and finish it with fireproof decorative material: brick, stone, terracotta tiles, and so on.

Built-in option

A stove is installed under the vat or a place for the hearth is installed. A hot fire or a special stove with a chimney heats and maintains the desired temperature of the water in the tank. As a rule, it is 40-45 degrees. A person feels very comfortable in it, especially in winter. Such an outdoor bathhouse with a vat can accommodate from 4 to 12 people, depending on the size.

Inside there are wooden benches, comfortable backrests, and sometimes armrests. Most often they are made from cedar, which is famous for its unusual healing properties. Each vat is equipped with a convenient ladder, since there is no other way to climb into it, especially over a fire.

The next classification is based on the material of manufacture. These hot tubs are made from cast iron or stainless steel. Each option has its own advantages and disadvantages. We will not consider a cast iron specimen, but will discuss a stainless steel font. As a rule, food grade stainless steel AISI 304 or stainless steel AISI 430 is used. A more budget-friendly version of the metal is ordinary iron with a special coating.

What are the health benefits

Don’t forget that you need to get regular and complete rest. If a person is constantly busy, working all the time or worried about everyday problems, if there is no time to rest at all, a feeling of psychological discomfort arises. But when you steam in such a SPA pool, you will have a wonderful rest not only with your soul, but also with your body. You will long remember the time spent in the company of friends under the aroma of hot magical water.

It has been proven by science that the chan bath is an amazing remedy for treating joint diseases, as well as for restoring the body after injuries and fractures. Many athletes, after grueling training, completely relieve fatigue and restore strength. In addition, a wood-burning sauna vat will help you:

  • Cleanse the blood and remove toxins from the body
  • Restore youth and vitality
  • Lose excess weight and tighten your skin
  • Improve the functioning of the cardiovascular system and stabilize blood pressure
  • Normalize thyroid function and improve metabolism
  • Cope with colds and improve the body's immunity
  • Normalize the musculoskeletal system
  • Strengthen the nervous system, and as a result - get rid of stress, anxiety, insomnia
  • Provide a general strengthening and analgesic effect.

Of course, this list can be continued for a long time. This is probably why the vat bath is gaining more and more fans today. And it’s not in vain that many are trying to remember this long-standing tradition, regain their youth and restore precious health.

Medical contraindications

Everyone knows that in every business there are both positive and negative aspects. Our sauna vat was not left out either. Before taking hot baths with herbal infusions, it is strongly recommended to consult with your doctor. Here is a small, but not complete list of contraindications for “hot water activities”:
