Choosing a wood-burning stove up to 10 thousand rubles

Design Features

Zharstal sauna stoves are made from St3SP steel. In the most loaded places, the metal thickness can be up to 12 mm (in the upper part of the firebox of some models). The firebox has a complex shape, but most of the bends are formed using stamping. Seams are minimal, which increases the reliability of the stove. The housing has a cleaning hole covered with a lid. It’s a simple thing, but it makes caring for the stove much easier. It is recommended to crush soot twice a year - before the season of active use - in the spring, and after it - in the winter. Then there will be no problems with traction.

Internal structure of Zharstal sauna stoves

The rear wall of the firebox (the most vulnerable part of the structure) is covered with an additional screen (active lining), which prevents the metal from burning out. The same screen performs a second function - it transfers the air coming from under the grate to the upper part of the firebox (it passes between the firebox wall and the screen). This air is necessary for more complete combustion of gases.

There are two types of remote combustion channel in Zharstal sauna stoves:

  • fixed length;
  • telescopic, the length of which can be changed depending on the thickness of the walls (Fey and Sinara models with a telescopic fuel channel).

Another feature of Zharstal sauna stoves is the chimney outlet shifted to the front wall (diameter - 115 mm). This is not very convenient during installation - you have to protect the adjacent wall from overheating, but this solution increases the efficiency of the stove, since the smoke path in this case is much longer, as a result it transfers more heat to the walls of the housing.

Some of the Zharstal models

Optionally, the Fairy and Anyutka stove models can be equipped with a hanging tank for heating water. It is hung on the back wall of the oven. In two models - Anyutka and Sinara - the heater is of medium volume, open type. In mesh stoves with the “Skala” attachment, the stove body is covered with a welded mesh, the space between the body and the mesh is filled with bath stones. This option makes the atmosphere in the steam room more pleasant (hard radiation from the metal walls of the firebox is shielded), but requires longer heating of the steam room.

Sauna stoves Zharstal

Zharstal furnaces are produced by the Ural Furnace Equipment Plant (UZPO). The history of the plant dates back to the 19th century, so they have plenty of experience. The design is simple and reliable, high-tech equipment is used. In general, an inexpensive, reliable option.

Zharstal Anyutka - an economical option for small steam rooms

This economy class model is suitable for small steam rooms with a volume of 6 to 14 cubic meters. The firebox of this stove is made of heat-resistant steel 3 mm thick. Small dimensions allow you to conveniently place it even in the smallest room, for example, in a bathhouse in the country.

The convection casing (hung on the body) speeds up the heating of the steam room, and the removable ash drawer makes operating the stove easier. In general - nothing superfluous, a reliable sauna stove for small steam rooms.

Technical characteristics of Zharstal Anyutka furnaces

If we talk about the differences between the stoves in this line, the “mini” is more compact in size (with the same power), these two modifications are equipped with metal doors, and are heated from a steam room (without an external fuel channel). Anyutka XXL is not only designed to heat a larger volume, it also has a remote firebox, although the doors are still metal.

Color options for the Anyutka stove

All stoves in this line are available in three color variations:

  • graphite body, anthracite door;
  • terracotta/anthracite;
  • terracotta/graphite.

There are two ways to heat water in the Anyutka Zharstal model - by installing the samovar tank on a pipe or hanging it on the back wall.

Zharstal Fairy - stove for medium steam rooms

To heat steam rooms from 8 to 14 cubic meters, or small ones with poor insulation, a more powerful stove is required. This is the Fairy line. Having not much larger dimensions than Anyutka, this unit shows more power. To ensure that the stove lasts a long time, the upper part of the firebox is made of thick 12 mm metal.

One of the features of this model is a ventilated heater (Anyutka does not have this). Thanks to a special device, excess water splashed onto the stones flows down; such a heater cannot be flooded.

Technical characteristics of the Fairy Zharstal line

This model can be equipped with a remote combustion telescopic duct, or it can have an all-metal stem (all Kome Mini models). It can be equipped with a door with wide-format glass (Fairy Porta). For those who plan to use a metal stove to create Russian bath conditions in the steam room (relatively low temperature and high humidity) and want to cover the stove with brick, there is a special option - Fairy under the lining. It comes without a convection casing, which is absolutely useless in this case.

There is also a Fairy with a net for stones around the body. These are two modifications: Fairy Rock and Fairy Rock Mini. They differ in that the Mini modification does not have an outlet and is heated from the steam room. Otherwise there are no differences.

Fairy color options

If we talk about color variations, there are also three options: anthracite and graphite with stainless steel or terracotta with graphite door trim.

For reputable steam rooms - Zharstal Sinara

Larger steam rooms require more thermal power, and the Sinara line can provide it. It already has 8 layout options. Almost all of them are designed for steam rooms from 12 to 18 cubic meters; there is one even more powerful option - Sinara Cuba, which can heat up to 24 cubic meters of space.

Technical characteristics of Zharstal Sinara furnaces

Features of stoves in this line:

  • The Mini model does not have an external portal and is heated from a steam room, equipped with a metal door.
  • In the modification of Sinara Porta there is an external channel with wide-format glass (fireplace effect).
  • The Terma model has a built-in heat exchanger, which allows you to heat water in a remote tank (it can be hung in the washing compartment). There is also a Sinara Porta Terma model - with a wide-format door and a heat exchanger.
  • Sinara Cuba - for large steam rooms.

    Appearance of some models

  • A model with a telescopic fuel channel allows it to be adjusted to any wall thickness (from 100 mm to 220 mm).
  • Sinara under the lining is a furnace without a casing, around which it is planned to build a brick screen.
  • Model with a closed heater - to obtain a larger amount of “light” superheated steam (metal door), all-metal remote fuel channel. In a closed heater, the temperature of the stones is higher, the steam from them is hotter, containing droplets so small that they are not visible. This type of steam is considered the best, as it gives a feeling of lightness and vigor after the procedure.
  • Sinara Meteorite is a model of a sauna stove with a gas burner.

Stove-grid for sauna Sinara Skala in three varieties

There are three more models with a mesh - Sinara Scala and two of its modifications - Porta and Mini. In the basic version, the stove has an all-metal stem and a metal door. The Port modification has a door with fire-resistant glass, while the Mini does not have a remote control. It is intended for heating from a steam room.

Zharstal Kuba - increased power for forced heating

This model is for maintaining the steam temperature in large steam rooms. The high power of the stove allows you to quickly “accelerate” the sauna, while it is not necessary to heat the stove at full power - there should be no hot walls, but the gentle mode is enough to quickly increase the temperature.

Technical characteristics of Zharstal Cuba sauna stoves

There are only three models in the Cube line:

  • Cuba - with a remote all-metal channel, equipped with a metal door.
  • Cuba Porta - extension + door with panoramic glass, with anti-smoking function.
  • Cuba Porta Scala - the previous model was equipped with a mesh with stones.

Choosing a wood-burning stove up to 10 thousand rubles

Choosing a sauna stove, whatever you say, is a very responsible matter, and the fact that the model range is growing from year to year only complicates everything. It seems that from such a variety you can easily choose the option that suits you, but in reality everything turns out to be completely different. Of course, it would be best to purchase some popular model (every manufacturer has one), but many will probably find it unaffordable. In this case, all that remains is to take a closer look at economy class models.

If you are still full of desire to find and install a wood-burning stove made of metal, then get acquainted with a small selection, perhaps one of the options will be exactly what you were looking for.

Harvia

The Finnish company is deservedly considered a leading manufacturer of equipment for baths and saunas. Therefore, it is gratifying that several models found themselves in the required price niche and were able to get into our review.

Harvia M

In fact, this is not one stove, but a whole line of M1, M2, M3. The company distinguishes them as independent models, but they are all almost identical and differ only in some features; the most significant difference is the appearance.

Harvia M1 - equipped with a cast iron door. Harvia M2 - door with glass. Harvia M3 - glass in the combustion door, polished stainless steel inserts.

M1

The first modification is the most inexpensive, about 9 thousand rubles, but the second and third already go beyond 10 thousand, but given that the search is small, we leave them in our list (take into account, hereinafter, price tags from the official websites of manufacturers or their dealers) .

Each of them is designed for a steam room volume from 6 to 13 cubic meters. The design is simple, classic, as they say now - a protective casing, also known as a heat convector, a firebox, an ash drawer, a small heater. It contains two technical holes - for the chimney and for soot removal.

Any of these modifications can be equipped with a special water tank with a volume of 22 liters, which can only be attached to the chimney.

The chimney has two installation options - at the top and at the back of the wall.

Basic performance characteristics

Stove type - open heater Firewood length - no more than 350mm Stone weight - 30kg Weight - 45kg

In general, these stoves cause only positive impressions - compact, strong, economical and durable.

Among the shortcomings, we note the following:

— you will have to heat only from the steam room, because an extended firebox is not provided, - low power, - small volume for hot water.

Well, we should separately note that the mode of use is more suitable for sauna-type baths.

Termofor

One of the leading manufacturers of furnace equipment in our market is. The company from Novosibirsk produces several models that fall within our price criteria.

Osa stove

The most compact representative from the model range of this manufacturer. Its modest dimensions allow you to place the device in a small garden bathhouse. The recommended volume for fully heating the steam room is from 4 to 9 cubic meters.

The model is presented in two modifications, differing from each other in the type of metal. The expensive version is made of a special 2mm thick alloy containing chromium additives and has the INOX prefix, the cheap version is made of regular 4mm steel. Each subspecies, in turn, has varieties that differ slightly in design and construction. The differences lie in the size of the fuel channel - it can be short or long and the color design of the convector.

1

The entire line fits into the price range we have determined, the budget one is about 7,000 rubles, the expensive one is 9,000 rubles.

Basic performance characteristics

Stove type - open heater Firewood length - no more than 320mm Stone weight - 25kg Weight - 40kg, INOX version - 30kg

The water tank is not included. If desired, the oven can be equipped with a “samovar” capacity of up to 55 liters or a heat exchanger with a remote tank of up to 63 liters.

Despite the budgetary design, this model has a heat convector, a ventilated stove, a deflector and a safe combustion door, which fully corresponds to the concept of a modern stove.

Compact 2013

The prefix in the form of numbers indicates the year of the next update of the popular stove, and it has been produced for almost 10 years. The changes affected primarily the heater (it was enlarged), the chimney (it took a central position) and of course the design, becoming more attractive.

This device is larger in size than its younger brother; it is already able to heat a steam room with a volume of 10-12 cubic meters. In addition, there are small design differences in the shape of the heater, deflector (reflector) and combustion door; by the way, in the expensive version it can be equipped with heat-resistant glass, but, probably, the most important thing is that there is a modification equipped with a built-in water tank with a capacity of 24 liters. If this seems small to someone or a model without a tank is chosen, you can optionally equip the device with a “samovar-type” capacity (50-75 l) and a remote one (up to 80 l).

2

As in the previous case, depending on the type of steel, this model is available in two versions.

Characteristics

Stove type - open ventilated heater Firebox - short/long Firewood length - no more than 370mm Stone weight - 35kg Weight - depending on version 39 -63kg

As you can see, longer firewood can be placed; the increased volume of the heater will appeal to those who like a hot bath.

The price for devices not made of alloy steel starts at 8 thousand rubles, but any variants of this model with glass no longer fall within our scope.

Shilka

This model can be described as a stove for true fans of bathing procedures; the non-ventilated heater creates moist and moderately hot steam, and the heat-resistant steel can withstand numerous heatings. Suitable for baths with a small steam room (6-12 cubic meters).

This stove has two modifications with and without a water tank.

3

You can read a detailed review of the use of this model with a description and design features here.

Therefore, we present only the main parameters:

Stove type - open heater Firebox - short/long Firewood length - no more than 400mm Stone weight - 30kg Weight - 37kg, with tank -43kg

Only options without a built-in water tank will be able to keep within 10 thousand rubles; for its presence you will have to pay at least 2 thousand rubles.

The review includes the most popular manufacturers of furnace equipment, although there are, of course, much more of them. Fortunately, the production of stoves, under their own brands, is established in almost every region of our country

Teplodar

No less famous company from Siberia than Termofor. Our market is represented by two dozen models of sauna stoves, many of which, having an original design, have managed to gain recognition. But, unfortunately, the vast majority of them are priced beyond the designated limit of 10 thousand rubles. Only one model, or rather two of its versions, can be classified as economy class - this is “Rus”.

Stoves Rus

This model is available in four versions, but only two of them can be called budget - Rus 9 and Rus 12.

The first version can be manufactured in two modifications - 9L and 9LU. The difference between them is minimal and lies in the design of the combustion channel; the version with the letters LU has a shortened firebox.

Like all models of this class, Rus 9 is designed for heating small steam rooms, the maximum volume of which should not exceed 9 cubic meters.

The second version is presented in four modifications - 12LU, 12L, 12LNZ and 12LNZP Pro, but only the first two of them, and even then with a stretch, fit within the price limit.

Having increased dimensions, 12th Rus' is already capable of more, the volume of the heated steam room is 6-12 cubic meters, the heater is capable of taking in twice as many stones, and this is an important indicator. Taking this into account, in many cases it makes sense to pay the existing price difference between these options and take Rus 12 (10,500 RUR).

4

Basic indicators:

Stove type - open heater, ventilated Firebox - short/long Firewood length - no information Weight of stones - 25 kg (Rus 9), 50 kg (Rus 12) Weight - 32 kg and 35 kg respectively

For all modifications, those elements that are subject to the greatest temperature load (firebox and heater) are made of 2mm thick alloyed stainless steel. Also, according to modern tradition, all are equipped with a protective casing (convector), an ash drawer and a self-cooling door.

There is no built-in water tank; to heat it, you must additionally install a “samovar” type tank or a heat exchanger on the chimney pipe. The remote tank in this case should be in the range of 60-80 liters.

Zharstal

The heating devices of the plant from Yekaterinburg are designed for the average buyer. In the model range here you won’t find stoves with innovative designs and expensive cladding, but they are all simple and unpretentious to use. And most importantly, almost all options cost no more than 20 thousand rubles.

Anyutka

The first thing that immediately catches your eye is the low price. On the official website of the plant it is indicated at only 6650 rubles. Perhaps this is an ideal option for bathhouses in garden areas that are visited irregularly. It’s no secret that in your absence garden thieves may have their eye on this device, and such a stove can be taken away in any car at the end of the season. But isn't it too simple?

5

Let's study its characteristics:

Stove type - open heater Firebox - short/long Firewood length - up to 400-500mm Stone weight - 20kg, 40kg (Anyutka XXL) Weight - 43kg and 62kg respectively

The basic model is produced in three versions: Anyutka, mini and XXL.

Having minor differences among themselves, they are all structurally identical. A standard stove has an elongated fuel channel, Anyutka mini does not have this, and besides, it itself is the smallest in size, in particular in length and height. It is not for nothing that the device with the numbers XXL was assigned such letters; it is slightly larger than the others, its firebox is remote, and the heater can accommodate twice as many stones.

The recommended volume of the steam room for the first two versions is 6-10 cubic meters, for the XXL version - 15 cubic meters.

All devices are made of 3mm thick steel, have a convection casing, an ash drawer, and simple doors. The chimney channel is shifted closer to the front wall.

Fairy

This beautiful name hides a whole line of modifications that differ not only in price, but also in design. We are only interested in two of them - Fairy 2014 and Fairy mini, because they did not exceed the price range. Their base cost is 9 thousand. rub.

The differences from the smallest previous model are significant; if the width is exactly the same as Anyutka’s - 400mm, then it has grown in height and length. The volume of the steam room that the stove can heat has increased to 14 cubic meters. The modification with the “mini” prefix has a shortened firebox.

6

Options:

Stove type - open heater Firebox - short/long Firewood length - up to 400-500mm Stone weight - 40kg Weight - 58kg

Paying extra 2.5 thousand. rub, what do we get?

1) The thickness of the metal of the firebox and heater is 12 mm 2) Lining of the rear part of the wall 3) Improved thermal convector 4) More beautiful design of the fuel portal and thermal casing.

In general, as we see, this is no longer the same simpleton as Anyutka, here you have a special cooling screen on the back wall for afterburning the exhaust gases, and a ventilated heater, and an increased thickness of the metal of the firebox arch and, of course, a prettier appearance.

Ermak

The company from Kirov is slowly but surely conquering the market for sauna stoves, competing with manufacturers from Siberia, the Urals and Moscow. The model range is represented by both inexpensive classic wood-burning appliances and original combined gas-wood heaters.

Ermak-12 (2012)

This model, designed for a steam room with a volume of 6 to 14 cubic meters, is available in two versions: Ermak-12 itself and Elite 12. The first version is made of structural steel, the second is made of stainless steel. Having only 10 thousand rubles in your pocket, the design made of high-alloy steel will have to be rejected. Therefore, we will consider only the first option.

Main characteristics:

Stove type - open ventilated heater Firebox - short/long Firewood length - 500mm Stone weight - 40kg Weight - 52kg

7

What distinguishes this stove from similar other manufacturers?

The steel used in this device has different thicknesses - the firebox arch and the gas exhaust system are made of 6mm steel, the remaining elements are made of 4mm. There is certainly nothing new here. The difference is this:

  • an external channel is initially provided, increasing the length of the fuel used to 500 mm, i.e. there will be no problems with firewood,
  • for faster and better heating of the furnace, for complete combustion of fuel, a vertical gas cutter is installed on the back of the wall,
  • The smoke exhaust system is not very complicated, which increases the efficiency of the device,
  • reversible door,
  • self-cooling fire door handle, Finnish type,
  • central location of the chimney.

In addition, such furnaces are positioned as free transformation products. What does it mean?

The basic model (9 thousand rubles) is not suitable for its intended purpose; it is advisable to retrofit it. Separate installation is provided: a grid for stones (+1300 rubles), a hanging tank (+1400 rubles), built directly into the heat exchanger firebox (+1600 rubles).

So what's the bottom line?

All presented stoves, including Finnish ones, are characterized ambiguously. It is not uncommon to hear negative reviews about these devices. Moreover, real ones, i.e. There are no reliable and independent reviews for most products. Manufacturers' brochures provide answers to only some of the questions.

The problem lies, probably, not so much in the quality of manufacture, but in the culture of using (heating) the stove. Whatever you say, bathhouse lovers often heat them incorrectly, and these designs, in essence, are modern, ennobled potbelly stoves, with all the ensuing consequences.

This naturally raises a dilemma - is it worth taking the factory one at all? Or maybe take them and order a simple one made from ordinary, but thick metal? This one will not lead and will certainly last no less than a store-bought one. Of course, you can do this, but they also have quite a few disadvantages, so you need to approach this issue carefully.
