Wood-burning sauna stoves from GREIVARI

The company's products have long proven themselves in the market of equipment for saunas, baths and bath complexes. GREIVARI products appeared in Russia in 2009. They are produced by the Novosibirsk plant TECHNOTRADE. The founders of the company named the model line “Cuirassier”, based on the etymology of the word.

Cuirassiers are warriors, defenders, dressed in impenetrable metal armor. Stove manufacturers have created a powerful and high-tech model that consumers liked and has found its niche in the bath equipment market.

Wood-burning stoves “Cuirassier” have only positive reviews. Buyers note the high heat transfer, power and efficiency of these units. These models are superior to their counterparts from manufacturers of other companies in terms of power and firewood savings.

Owner reviews

Vladimir Sidorchuk, 38 years old, Moscow.

Before purchasing a heater, I read many reviews of stove owners on the Internet. I became interested in the greivari sauna stove and the Varvara sauna stove. These devices were most suitable for my bathhouse. As a result, I installed Varvara in my steam room and do not regret the choice. The steam room warms up quickly, you don’t need a lot of firewood for heating, and there is enough heat and good steam for everyone.

Nikolay Akimov, 52 years old, Petrozavodsk.

I recently installed a Gorynych-3 stove in my bathhouse. Based on reviews online, I realized that this was exactly what I needed. A friend recommended the Tsar Stove for a bathhouse (he has one like this installed), but it seemed a little heavy to me. And Gorynych saved me from the problem of a cold floor in the washing room in winter and all the rooms of the bathhouse are well heated.

Alexander Kanashenkov, 47 years old, Kostroma.

After the construction of the bathhouse, the question arose about a sauna stove. On the forum on this topic, there were many good reviews from owners about Berezka-15, Koster and Kastor stoves. The guy from Vladimir spoke most convincingly about his Zhara stove. I bought a Zhara with a remote water tank. The stove produces soft, comfortable steam. The room heats up quickly, and little wood is consumed. I recommend!

Model range "Cuirassier": about "Swedish", "Fink" and style

The range of Cuirassier stoves is not very rich. Basically, two models are best known in Russia: the so-called “Swedish” and “Finka”. Both of these models are notable for the fact that they make it possible to additionally ventilate the steam room with the stove itself, for which the “Finka” has a retractable ash pan, and the “Shvedka” has a damper specially designed for this.

The design of the Rolling Stones model is especially original - one of its walls consists entirely of stones! They can be laid at temperatures up to 90˚C, and they warm up very, very efficiently.

But true connoisseurs of style and design will love the Lithos Cuirassier stove with its octagonal mesh heater shape. You can load up to 220 kg of stones into it! They retain heat for a long time, but it will also take a little longer to heat the stove than a standard potbelly stove. But the climate will be mild, and you won’t often have to run around throwing firewood (bathhouse attendants like to call it dancing with a tambourine). In addition, due to the fact that the stones in this model are placed around the firebox, it has its own advantage - the radiation from the heated metal is no longer so harsh, and water can be splashed onto the stones from all sides. It produces a lot of steam and is quite soft.

Design features, operation and installation

Construction of a stove of this brand
GREIVARI “Cuirassier” wood stoves. The units are equipped with an impressively sized firebox, allowing you to heat a large area of the room in a short time. The smoke collector is made of thick sheet steel, which ensures durability and safe operation of the stove. The wall thickness of the steel manifold ranges from 3 to 6 millimeters.

The design of the Cuirassier stove includes the following elements:

  • firebox;
  • convector;
  • ash pan;
  • doors;
  • tunnel;
  • chimney;
  • water tank or flow-through heat exchanger.

The tunnel is shielded with metal. Some models are equipped with a transparent screen. This design solution allows stove owners to observe the beauty of the flames in the firebox.

Cuirassier stoves are easy to install. The complete set of GREIVARI models includes a screen that performs a decorative function and allows you to hide defects when installing equipment. Buyers of such stoves leave only positive reviews after their installation. Customers note the good ergonomics of the furnace and minimal costs for adapting the unit under non-standard installation conditions.

The design of the stoves allows reducing wood consumption while providing very high power. The intensity of the flame is adjusted by dosing the air flow. The additional air heating function allows you to heat Cuirassier stoves even with raw wood.

The GREIVARI “Cuirassier” firebox has a fairly large volume of 45 liters. This ensures rapid heating of the stones. Heat transfer from the walls of the furnace fills the steam room with heat at maximum speed due to constant air circulation. The stones are heated by hot gases. The firebox is made of sheet steel with a minimum number of seams, which creates the solidity necessary for long service and maximum heat transfer. Such fireboxes made of alloy sheet steel are resistant to the destructive effects of high temperatures.

The production life of these models is 10-12 years. In practice, stoves will last much longer, especially if they are used seasonally, during the summer months.

Performance characteristics: what you should know

The big advantage of Cuirassier sauna stoves over their analogues is the firebox with especially thick walls made of alloy steel - in places of the highest temperature loads it reaches as much as 6 mm! In addition, the back wall is additionally reinforced with a special protective screen.

The number of seams in the firebox itself is reduced to a minimum, thereby achieving the necessary integrity and making the structure more rigid. Such fireboxes are much less likely to warp from high temperatures. The Cuirassier outlet pipe is also of good quality - it is made of 1.5 mm thick stainless steel, and in the upper part of the firebox there is also a hole for cleaning the heat sink of the stove yourself. Those. The wall thickness in this furnace is not the same - it ranges from 3 to 6 mm. The front wall is thinner, the back wall is thicker. And only the Cuirassier Inox model is made of 3 mm thick steel.

The installation of powerful and bulky Cuirassier stoves is not difficult either - the main thing is to follow all safety rules. And, if such a stove is not used often and carefully, then it will be able to live for more than 12 years - at least that’s what the manufacturer promises.

You can put up to 50 kg of stones in the Cuirassier - and they warm up quite well. The lower temperature reaches 450˚С, and the upper temperature – 510˚С. That’s why the steel is so thick, 6 mm, so that it can withstand such serious thermal loads without problems. There is also a special gap between the convector and the firebox - the oven is blown through it, and the steam room heats up dynamically. But someone complains about the burning of oxygen by such a stove - they say that with others the air is fresher. In fact, oxygen is burned in excess volume only when there is absolutely no ventilation in the steam room, or the stove itself has been heated to the limit for a long time - and this is already unnatural.

The Cuirassier stove itself is designed for the fact that firewood will be placed into it from the dressing room or rest room, and the Intro door will allow you to comfortably observe the live fire.

Advantages of Cuirassier stoves

An elegant and practical model.
Stoves from the GREIVARI company occupy a worthy place in the market of similar equipment, having a number of advantages.

  1. Simplicity of design.
  2. Affordable price.
  3. High efficiency, which is achieved by equipping the furnace with a beam grate and an ash drawer that extends. This allows you to achieve maximum convection of air flows in the lower part of the stove. The upper part is filled with air from the secondary passage, burning almost all the carbon. There is no cooling, since the primary air flow, when entering the firebox, is already heated to 150°C.
  4. Stoves can be heated with raw wood. Air convection in the lower zone of the stove dries the wood, creating conditions for maximum combustion.
  5. All Cuirassier models provide soft and comfortable steam, which is usually a problem for manufacturers of steel bath units.
  6. Self-cleaning steel grates.
  7. Presence of afterburning zone. The furnaces owe their high efficiency to secondary combustion. This zone also makes it possible to significantly minimize emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

The weight of various models of Cuirassier stoves ranges from 50 to 90 kg, while the mass of heated stones is at least 50 kg.

Review: Wood-burning stove Cuirassier 10 Standard Greivari – I just love it!

At the dacha, in our old bathhouse, the stove was heated directly from the steam room, almost in the dark. And so we decided to build a normal bathhouse with a good steam room. Based on recommendations, we found builders, and they already advised us to purchase this stove. I don’t really have anything to compare it to, so I’ll just share my impressions. The stove is heated from the dressing room or rest room, which is a huge plus for it - the floor in the steam room remains clean.

The door can be transparent, with heat-resistant glass, but we didn’t need this option. It looks stylish; after two years of use, the shiny edging has not peeled off or faded.

Firewood must be placed deep in the stove. Choose logs less than 45 cm, since the depth of the firebox is 47 cm.

The ash is raked out into a special box.

The firebox door opens 180 degrees, but 90 is enough for us.

Well, now I invite you to the bathhouse
