Customer reviews about stoves

On the forums you can read very different reviews about Termofor stoves, but most of them are positive. Some of them:

“And I like my Angara stove. We are on Normal for the 2nd year. We heat with peat briquettes, it’s very warm and there’s not a lot of fuss with the stove.”

Bath stoves Termofor
——————

“We bought a MERANO stove (imported) for the house, and a GEYSER bathhouse, they are the same price. Both the house and the bathhouse are approximately the same area (5x5 and 6x4). So, the Thermofor GEYSER heats the room twice as fast, I regret that I bought such a stove for the house (I thought since it was imported, it was better)! The beauty of the stove is not the only advantage! Let’s see how it shows itself over time!”

——————

“I decided to share my impressions. I have a Termofor sauna stove. I recently bought it for a sauna, it’s called Vitruvia. It’s probably hard to call it a stove anymore, because it’s very sophisticated. However, the 21st century... It has a very large screen built into it, it’s convenient to watch the combustion and it’s just beautiful. Diagonal 58 cm! It does not darken, it practically does not even need to be wiped (convenient for lazy people and bachelors). The stove heats up very quickly - a steam room is what you need. In appearance, it fits perfectly into a sauna. The stove itself is small, as I chose for my cubic meters.”

—————

“Do you have a strange smell when firing the stove? I myself recently bought, not this one, but from a different manufacturer. Now I’m thinking: will it fade or not?”

@Alkard The strange smell is the machine oils that are used to lubricate everything at the factory. I had an odor the first time I used it. Then there were no problems.

Reading reviews about Termofor stoves, you understand that for the most part customers are satisfied with the choice.

Termofor stoves for wood-burning saunas

Gone are the days when there was simply no alternative to foreign-made bathhouse stoves - consumers have finally waited for the appearance of domestic manufacturers. And your own shirt, as you know, is closer to the body.

One of the flagships in the manufacture of metal heat generators on the Russian market is. The company's products have a wide range.

Each model is a combination of:

  • excellent design;
  • thoughtful design;
  • colossal reliability.

The company's policy pursues an individual approach, and the model range begins with products for paired rooms with an area of four square meters. And they are all effective enough to live up to expectations.

Important! The most suitable and optimal material for sauna stoves is used - high-alloy stainless steel, which is not susceptible to the chemical and physical influence of a humid environment.

High-quality materials are one of the main advantages, which is why they choose Termofor sauna stoves. This technical feature guarantees long-term operation and a small amount of scale. Also, neutral metal does not burn oxygen when heated, which will be noticeable after the first start in a home bath. The fuel for the stove will be fruit wood and any other wood that is not impregnated with chemicals.

Some models will be discussed in detail below.

Stove Kalina Termofor

This model is extremely popular among lovers of large steam rooms. The Kalina sauna stove is capable of quickly warming up the air in a room whose volume is 18-30 m3. Due to the design features, the speed of reaching maximum temperature is measured in seconds.

The gas duct of the Temofor "Kalina" sauna stove is made in the form of a labyrinth, so hot air from the combustion chamber wanders for a long time through the tangled pipe, producing maximum heat into the sauna room. Steam will be released from the heating of 100 kg of stones located in the upper part of the Kalina.

The stone used is exclusively natural, does not emit harmful fumes and has a neutral natural radiation background. The fuel compartment in the Temofor “Kalina” sauna stove is quite voluminous and can accommodate even strongly curved firewood of any thickness. And you can observe the combustion through the wide tempered panoramic glass in the door with a diagonal of 21.5 inches.

With such a “screen” in the steam room you can spend time illuminated by fire, which is very romantic and brings you closer to nature. In addition to its main purpose, creating steam in a bathhouse, the Kalina stove also has related functions. Using the built-in heat exchanger, you can heat water for a shower in the same steam room using a remote tank. The design of the Temofor "Kalina" sauna stove is very modern, and it is not in danger of becoming obsolete.

Tunguska Termofor

For medium-sized bath rooms, Termofor Tunguska stoves are often purchased. They are able to provide the required temperature in a room with a cubic capacity in the range of 8-18 m. This model is compact and modern. There is high reliability of operation and a virtual absence of scale after several years of operation.

The design of the Termofor Tunguska sauna stove includes a tank for water heated by hot air from the chimney. High energy efficiency is created thanks to high-quality materials, so that the heat from burning wood is entirely directed to increasing the temperature of the stones in the upper compartment. The door of the Tunguska sauna stove for loading fuel is made of self-cooling material, so it will be difficult to get burned - a definite plus.

Attention! An effective gas exhaust system does not spoil the atmosphere in the bathhouse, and there are no unpleasant odors.

Termofor Geyser

The Termofor "Geyser" sauna stove has its own interesting design features that allow you to vary the characteristics of the evaporated water. The Geyser body, made of high-quality stainless steel, contains 2 small chambers.

The first of them is located closer to the back wall, filled with small stones and is designed to promote the primary evaporation of moisture. In the second chamber of the Termofor “Geyser” sauna stove, which is located closer to the front part, there is a compartment with stones for producing light dry steam.

In general, the appearance of the Geyser is modern, and the ability to choose pairs is a nice bonus. The fire door is made of a material that can cool itself, which is very safe. If children are frequent guests in the bathhouse, then you don’t have to worry that they will get burned while throwing firewood.

Termofor Compact

If the bathhouse area is only about 2 square meters. m, then it is better to purchase a Termofor “Compact” stove for it. Externally and in size it is difficult to distinguish it from the average subwoofer. The design of the "Compact" is amazing, but this does not in any way affect the ability of vaporization. In a matter of minutes, it is capable of filling a space of 8-12 cubic meters with steam.

Advantages of the Termofor “Compact” sauna stove:

  • small, practical size;
  • convenient to use;
  • beautiful view;
  • small price.

For larger rooms, a “Compact 2013” sauna stove is provided. This model has 5 kg more stones and a slightly modified modern casing. Both “Compact” configurations can be connected to a remote tank for heating water. Thus, while enjoying the steam room, it is possible to receive warm water at the same time. Heating occurs from hot gases from the chimney.

Termofor Osa

The smallest wood-burning sauna stove from the Termofor model range received this unusual name due to the combination of size and efficiency. Like the insect of the same name, “Wasp” will instantly heat a bathhouse with an area of 4-9 square meters after loading and lighting firewood. m.

The chimney of the Termofor "Osa" sauna stove is located in the center of the product, which greatly simplifies installation. The chamber for stones is filled with so many minerals that it allows you to release steam very quickly, filling the bathhouse with the coveted warmth. The material used for making the Thermofor “Osa” sauna stove is stainless steel, which is resistant to constant exposure to moisture.

Termofor Sayany

Probably the most premium and comfortable sauna stove from. If the previous models look modern and ergonomic, then the Sayans are a timeless classic. The appearance of the Termofor Sayany sauna stove is something unusual. The shape of the product is metal, barrel-shaped, completely filled with stones. It holds about 120 kg of them.

This design idea is aimed at reducing hard thermal radiation. According to reviews of Termofor “Sayany”, you can sit near the sauna stove as close as possible without fear of getting burned.

Attention! This sauna stove is used in rooms with a volume of 8-18 cubic meters. meters.

In such a space, the Termofor Sayany sauna stove looks especially attractive and organic. A special feature of this product is a specially designed firebox for grid-type furnaces.

"Tunguska 2011"

The improved Tunguska 2011 differs not only in appearance. The current has been changed, in which the most loaded areas are made thicker, which has made it possible to increase the lifespan of the furnace. Changes have been made to the design of the heat exchanger - the water is heated directly by the flame, and not by the air flow. The Tunguska Vitra modification is equipped with a wide panoramic fireplace door.

Improved stove Termofor Tunguska 2011

Heat exchanger Termofor

The heat exchanger from is a generally accepted device, but modified by the company, for circulating water at different temperatures. The operating principle is based on the physical characteristics of the liquid to change the molecular structure.

In simple words: warm water will have a lower density, therefore it will rise upward, and cold water will do the opposite. There are two types of Termofor heat exchangers, but they are structurally similar. This is a small container to speed up the process of heating water, with two tubes connected. One is for supplying cold liquid, the second is for discharging hot liquid into a special tank. Mixing and circulation are carried out without the use of special mechanisms - everything is physically simple.

The first type of heat exchangers is built-in, installed inside the Termofor oven. The second one is of the “samovar” type, mounted on the stove chimney and purchased separately depending on the tasks assigned. All Termofor heat exchangers are made from an alloy of 87% high-alloy heat-resistant steel and 30% chromium. This material is resistant to thermal wear and absolutely not subject to corrosion.

No matter how the water is heated, the warm water will be squeezed out into a special tank, which can be located either in the bathhouse itself or in an adjacent room. It’s very pleasant to come out of the steam room and rinse off under a warm shower - and all this is possible thanks to Termofor heat exchangers.

"Vitruvia"

Sauna stove with fireplace door 58 cm diagonally. It has two heaters - ventilated and non-ventilated to create the lightest steam. The recommended operating mode is a Finnish sauna, the ash drawer is located on the side, and a combustion intensity control valve is located above the fuel channel. Bath stove-fireplace Termofor Vitruvius

"Kalina"

Large sauna stove for large steam rooms. The remote firebox is equipped with a panoramic door with heat-resistant glass (diagonal 54 cm). The high efficiency of the furnace is due to the complex geometry of the firebox. The long channel through which the air heated in the firebox passes transfers most of the thermal energy to the walls and stones (up to 100 kg). It is possible to install a heat exchanger to heat water in a remote tank.

Sauna stove Termofor Kalina

"Aurora"

There is an inspection hole in the back wall of the oven, covered with heat-resistant glass. Through it, from the steam room you can observe the intensity of combustion. This model - "Aurora" from Temofor - is available only with an external firebox. The volume of the steam room is from 8 to 18 cubic meters. with the “Finnish sauna” mode. The Aurora XXL modification is designed for heating decent-sized steam rooms - 12-24 m3.

The furnace firebox is made of heat-resistant steel, the heater holds 55 kg of stones and has a reinforced bottom. The chimney outlet is located closer to the firebox, which allows the pipe to be taken out not from the steam room, but from the dressing room or washing compartment, from where firewood is stored.

Sauna stove Termofor Aurora

"Vesuvius Legend Lux"

This is one of the best wood-burning cast iron sauna stoves. The model copes well with rooms up to 30 cubic meters. m. The firebox is made entirely of 12 mm cast iron and is completely sealed. This fact alone indicates the high reliability and durability of the stove.

The model is capable of accepting up to 180 kg of stones, which is enough for even the longest procedures. The radiation from cast iron exceeds that from steel by more than 70%, which will provide the sauna with excellent, and most importantly, stable steam. It is also worth mentioning the intelligent self-cleaning system, which eliminates the unpleasant rubbing of soot.

Users speak highly of the model. It is good for many things and has only one critical drawback - slow heating. So you will need to take care of bath procedures far in advance (2-3 hours in advance).

Pros of the model:

  • good efficiency indicator;
  • high reliability of the design, as well as a long operational period;
  • long-term heat retention;
  • volumetric heater 180 kg;
  • intelligent self-cleaning system.

  • slow heating;
  • large dimensions and heavy weight.

The approximate price of the stove is about 22,000 rubles.

Sauna stove Termofor Angara

"Sahara 24 LK/LKU"

This is one of the best wood-burning sauna stoves from the domestic market. The model is perfect for those who like to experiment with sauna modes. The equipment is quite powerful and is suitable for medium and large rooms with an area of 14 to 24 cubic meters. m.

In one hour, the oven heats up to its operating temperature of 110 degrees. With a moderate firebox, a microclimate is obtained that can be compared with an ordinary Russian bath: light steam and about 100⁰. The special compartment holds up to 90 kg of stones. The latter heat up to 500 degrees, so the oven is capable of properly delivering steam, which not everyone can withstand.

The model is quite easy to install thanks to the dome design with a chimney located in the center. Judging by user reviews, the oven is very easy to clean, and maintenance in general does not cause any serious problems.

Pros of the model:

  • heating to operating temperature in one hour;
  • good efficiency indicator;
  • impressive volume of the heater;
  • easy-to-install and use dome design;
  • comfortable microclimate (humidity, steam);
  • easy maintenance and cleaning as well.

Minuses:

  • In small saunas it overheats quickly.

The approximate price of the stove is about 19,000 rubles.

"Angara 2012" - design features and reviews

This stove has a decent firebox volume - 40 liters. Made of heat-resistant steel. Designed for a steam room from 8 to 18 cubic meters. It has many modifications with different combustion inlets and body colors. The heater is a closed type, heats the stones up to 600°C. During steam formation, water enters the hottest part of the heater through a steel tube, to the end of which a funnel is welded for convenience.

Sauna stove Termofor Angara 2012

Additionally, the stones are located at the top, in the open part. You can add water with aromatic oils to them. It is useless to do this on the stones of an internal heater - the temperature is such that everything instantly decomposes into its components, and there will be no aromas in the air (it may be burnt, a little air will be released if you pour a lot of oils).

The stove can be heated with wood or converted to gas. Its high strength is due to the precise calculation of thermal loads and thick sheet materials with a high percentage of chromium.

User reviews

Customer reviews for the Angara 2012 stove are also mostly positive:

“Beauty, there’s nothing to say! But my steam room is about 28 cubic meters. It takes longer to heat and when washing I continue to heat continuously. But I can live, I’m happy!”

"Hephaestus PB-01"

If a bathhouse for you is not just a place for washing, but a real art, then you should take a look at, perhaps, the best long-burning stove for the home - “Hephaestus PB-01”. This is a fairly large, cast iron, and at the same time highly efficient stove, capable of creating an ideal bath microclimate in a bathhouse with a volume of up to 45 cubic meters. m.

The main feature of the model is its thick 60 mm cast iron walls, as well as the complete absence of bolts and any other mounting connections. That is, here we have a solid structure. This allows you to withstand the highest loads and temperature conditions.

"Geyser 2014"

Geyser is a sauna stove for a Russian steam room. A two-stage steam generation system has been specially developed. There are two heaters in the oven. The water is fed into a small internal heater where it turns into hot but heavy steam. Under high pressure, this steam enters the second heater, where it is dried, and in this form - dry and light - it enters the steam room. To prevent too much water from entering the heater, a dosing valve is built into the funnel.

Such ovens are designed for steam rooms of 8-18 m3 and are made of heat-resistant alloy steel. The 40 liter firebox is reinforced in areas of greatest load, which allows for longer service life.

Sauna stove Termofor Teyser

The Geyser 2014 stove receives reviews even more often than other models. Some of them:

“I'm glad I didn't make a mistake in my choice! Steam and heat are what you need! The water also has time to warm up. It took me a long time to collect stones for the heater; it’s not an easy task. I invite everyone to the bathhouse!”

———

“I think it would be worth buying an imported stove, but I’m not free with money. So I settled on the Thermofor Geyser. While still new, everything is chick-chick in the steam room. We heat it on weekends, and other times during the week.”

Summarizing

When choosing equipment of this type, you must first look at the volume of your bath room. If you install a model that is too powerful, it will not work at full capacity, and you will simply throw money away. Modest stoves for large rooms will take a long time to create the necessary microclimate, and you will be tired of adding firewood. So everything should be in moderation.

The advantages of wood stoves over others are very obvious. Here, first of all, savings on electricity and gas. All you need is to prepare firewood, which is several times cheaper than blue fuel. In addition, annealing logs fills the room with a specific and natural sauna aroma, which other types of fuel, alas, cannot provide.

But there are also disadvantages. Periodically it is necessary to clean the chimney with the ash pan, wait until the heater heats up, and also constantly add firewood. There are clearly fewer disadvantages here than advantages, and they are less significant, so wood-burning stoves have been and remain the best option for a private home.

Installation of a sauna stove without helpers

Installation recommendations from Termofor
Each Termofor oven includes detailed installation instructions. And it is highly advisable to adhere to all recommendations: a sauna stove is a potential source of danger. There could be a fire, you could get burned or get burned. And all this is due to incorrect installation.

First you need to decide whether your furnace requires a foundation. If the joists and floorboard are strong enough, and you are not going to make a brick screen around the stove, you can do without a foundation. Then you need to lay a steel sheet on the floor boards, the size of which is 30 cm larger than the size of the stove in all directions. It is advisable to take galvanized metal, ideally stainless steel.

As you can see, there are no insurmountable obstacles to installing the Termofor sauna stove. Only, it is advisable to lay one or two rows of bricks, ceramic tiles, asbestos sheets, basalt cardboard, etc. under the sheet of metal. Although the floor from the stove does not heat up as much as nearby walls, it is better to protect it carefully.

Installing a stove with a remote firebox is somewhat more difficult. It is important to remember that it is unacceptable to leave an elongated firebox in a wall made of logs without additional thermal insulation! At the point where the firebox exits into the dressing room, a cut-out is made in the logs of the partition so that the distance from the firebox and stove body to the wooden elements is at least 0.4 m. The free opening in the partition is filled with brickwork. Additionally, the tree will have to be protected from high temperatures with a layer of heat-resistant thermal insulation (use temperature no less than 800-1000oC).

Fire safety requirements must be met by passing the pipe through the ceiling. Termofor recommends using sandwich pipes - they are currently the best option: inexpensive, have good characteristics and are quite durable. In addition, sand or slag is added around the pipe in the attic. All other elements of the installation are no longer vital - connecting the water supply, laying out the heater.

Termofor stoves: reviews

Maxim Semenovich Gumilev, 43 years old, Moscow

A couple of years ago I inherited a house in the Moscow region. Naturally, with a bathhouse. Everything needed repairs, especially the steam room. Having dismantled the old stove and changed the casing, I decided that I would heat it with wood and need to look for a new stove. Having studied many configurations, I chose the Termofor Tunguska stove. I really liked the design, and the company assured that appearance is not the only advantage. I did the installation myself, there was nothing complicated. I connected the water tank with the heat exchanger and made myself a still warm shower. When the time came for testing, everything turned out as they said in Termofor. The oven reached 100°C in just 2.5 hours. The steam was great! In the debut I made two passes, alternately steaming, dousing myself in the shower with cold water, and then with lukewarm water. My wife also tried it and was delighted. There were no unpleasant burning odors. It is convenient to throw firewood, and there is no need to chop it into small chips. If it weren’t for “Tunguska”, we would visit the country house once a quarter at most, but now we’re here every weekend, taking a steam bath. I call my friends - they never cease to be amazed at this warm miracle.

Leonid Maksimovich Molotov, 59 years old, Saransk

I am a professional bathhouse attendant, and a very conservative one at that. I love traditional baths, but I couldn’t resist the Kalina stove. I have a 25 cubic meter sauna, and this stove from Termofor fits perfectly into the room. Warms the air efficiently and quickly. Now I don’t waste time, I have time to fluff up the brooms, prepare the towels and go straight to the steam room with the men. All my friends now began to come to my bathhouse even more often. I tried Kalina in a public bathhouse with a larger area, and it worked. It has been working for 4 years now and there is no rust or scale visible. It’s convenient and quick to throw in firewood, and also remove ash from your hands. I recommend this stove for families with children. My grandchildren, although they are great at frolicking in the steam room, thank God, they never got burned. I connected the heat exchanger, so my wife can even wash the dishes while I heat the water for her through the sauna.

Competition between Termofor and Teplodar

On the domestic market, the main competitor of the products is ]Teplodar[/anchor]. When choosing between these manufacturers, the buyer must be aware that any competition between suppliers of furnaces and boilers is beneficial for him. Of course, when competing for the sales market, companies improve the quality of their products and constantly modernize them.

Nobody dares to categorically answer the question of which is better: “Teplodar” or “Termofor”. It’s just that some qualities of products from one company will exceed similar parameters from another, and vice versa. The choice will be up to the client.
