Combustion unit

All stoves are approximately the same size, similar in design, with the same thickness of cast iron. All the differences are in the little things.

ChT-1 stoves are made in Russia, they are cast at a plant in the city of Protvino. It should be noted the quality of the stove. The purchased stove does not require “finishing with a file.” It can be collected immediately. Instructions are included with the oven. The oven-constructor is assembled into one whole. Surprisingly enough, usually cast iron structures cause many problems during assembly.

In production, heat-resistant alloy cast iron is used, which can withstand heating temperatures of up to 1000 degrees. All manufacturers use SCh-10 cast iron (Grey Cast Iron, 10 – tensile strength) for the manufacture of stoves. Gray cast iron according to GOST is used only for the manufacture of non-critical parts, for example, manhole covers, park benches, sculptures.


For the manufacture of the ChT-1 model, cast iron is alloyed by the addition of graphite, which increases its heat resistance, as well as the addition of nickel and chromium, which increases strength. Good cast iron should contain up to 19 percent nickel and up to 3 percent chromium.

This cast iron can withstand all required loads well. Each cast iron part of the furnace is produced with constant control of quenching and tempering technology. Internal stress in parts of complex shape is relieved. This ensures that the stove will not burst during the first fire.
